CHALLENGE

To create a bold and innovative Early Order Guide Booklet to catch the attention of WinField United’s largest and most profitable Turf and Ornamental manufacturers. Aimed at the professional products industry—golf courses, pest control operators, nurseries and greenhouses, and lawn care operators —the book needed to be attractive but also sturdy and easy to use. The Guide would serve as a reference, standing on a customer’s shelf to entice orders and increase sales. The project faced an urgent deadline to guarantee accurate product information and position WinField United in front of their customers ahead of the competition.

SOLUTION

To meet WinField United’s goals and exceed their expectations, we created a professional, high-end booklet that would stand the test of time on each customer’s shelf and serve the T&O industry as a whole. We engineered a hard-cover, spiral-bound book that lays flat and features convenient tabbed sections and a folder for important forms. The entire piece was created in house, including collating and binding. Soft-touch, spot clear UV and spot PMS foil elevated the piece, creating an exceptional user experience. Dolan Printing delivered 2,000 finished booklets to 60 locations throughout the country using WinField United’s customer distribution list.

DETAILS

  • The book: Cover, 49 body sheets, 10 tabs, a pocket folder sheet, and Wire-O binding.
  • Cover: Printed offset, then spot UV coated, spot PMS foil and soft-touch laminated. The cover was assembled by hand. 80# C1S Litho Label wrapping kraft board stock to allow for opening and closing on hinges.
  • Interior: Printed on HP Indigo; 100# gloss text
  • Tabs and pocket folder: Printed on HP Indigo and die-cut; 100# gloss cover

Our efforts resulted in a 50% increase in sales for WinField United’s Turf and Ornamental division and a stunning collateral piece customers would utilize for years to come.
